Rotating screening bucket for biofuel
Established products can gain a new lease on life if they change industries. One such case was exhibited at Elmia Wood 2013. It was a very special excavator bucket developed and manufactured by the Italian company Treve Benne.
The bucket is a rotating cylinder with walls composed of stiff netting to create a sieve. It is used by contractors to separate various sizes of gravel and earth. The netting comes in various sizes that are interchangeable.
The same need to sort various sizes of material exists in the forest sector, which is why Treve Benne exhibited one of its screening buckets at Elmia Wood. It is a bucket that can separate the wheat from the chaff, or perhaps more aptly wood chips from sawdust.
