DP CleanTech today announced the continuation of its  successful relationship with China Chant Group, with the commencement of work in August for the 4th biomass power plant to be delivered to Chant by DPCT.

The project (1×30MW, 1×130tph) is located in Yutai County, Jining City, Shandong Province. When completed, the project will generate more than 200MWh electricity annually, using cotton straw, bark and rice husk etc.

In 2011 and 2012, DPCT designed, provided and installed its unique High Pressure, High Temperature boiler technology at 2 of Chant’s biomass power plants located in Xishui (Shandong Province) and Mingshui (Heilongjiang Province, combined heat and power project).  These power plants are operating successfully A 3rd project, Ning’an (Heilongjiang Province) is still under construction and is expected to be completed before the end of 2013.

DPCT Group CEO Mr. Simon Parker made the following comments regarding the recently signed project with Chant: “We are very pleased and proud to be collaborating once again with a forward thinking company such as  Chant.  The cooperation reflects not  only the positive relationship we have with Chant, but their recognition of the long term benefits of the efficiency and reliability brought by DPCT products and services.  We hope and anticipate that Chant’s progressive example will encourage a greater willingness from  domestic private entities to  invest in China’s increasingly mature biomass industry.”

Chant was founded in 1985 and is now one of China’s Top 10 light industry and hardware companies.  The company originally specialized in the design, development and manufacture of gas grills and gas heating appliances, but has since grown to become one of the largest exporters of gas appliances in China.  The group is ISO9000 certified and has 5 factories with a total area of 4 million square feet and more than 4,000 employees in peak season. Several years ago, Chant invested significantly in the renewables industry, with the aim of generating profitable returns whilst also making visible contributions to the country’s  energy  saving and emission reduction targets and economic development.
