IKEA Industry opened a sawmill in Stalowa Wola, thus enhancing its integrated value chain in Poland. The new plant, increasing production capacity, will contribute to its development and support the objective, which is to offer good quality home furnishings at affordable prices. Currently in Poland sales growth of IKEA products is growing fastest among all the countries of the European Union. But we want to grow even faster, and over the next 20 years to increase its turnover eight-fold, from 2 billion to 16 billion.
IKEA Stalowa Wola will supply lumber to its factories producing components and solid wood furniture in the Polish and Slovak. This is the most advanced and efficient sawmill IKEA Industry.

The new sawmill in Stalowa Wola ensure stability of supply of wood for IKEA Industry manufacturing plants, making them less dependent on fluctuations in the raw material market. In addition, the shorter will be the path followed by wood, which is associated with a reduction in costs and CO2 emissions.
