BTEC Elects New Board Members During Fifth Annual Membership Meeting
The election includes new Directors from Academia, Government Agencies, and Private Industry
WASHINGTON, DC – December 4, 2013 – Today, the Biomass Thermal Energy Council (BTEC) announced the election of five new Directors and the reelection of two Directors to its 2014 Board of Directors. The election was held during BTEC’s fifth annual Membership Meeting at The Hill Center in Washington, DC on November 19, 2013.

“The addition of our new Directors furthers the wide variety of expertise represented on the BTEC Board, and underscores the progress BTEC has made towards an inclusive biomass thermal advocacy,” said Dan Wilson, BTEC Chairmain and Vice President of Wilson Engineering Services.  “The diversity of the Board is a testament to the broad support for biomass thermal markets as a vehicle for energy independence and job creation.”
New Directors elected to the 2014 Board include:

Dennis Becker, Associate Professor of Environment and Natural Resource Policy, University of Minnesota
Marcus Kauffman, Biomass Resource Specialist, Oregon Department of Forestry
Michael Larrimore, Business Development Representative, Cambridge EnTech
Paul Lewandowski, Business Development Specialist, AFS Energy Systems
Jay Van Roekel, Biomass Business Unit Manager, Vermeer

Reelected Directors to the 2014 Board include:

Dan Arnett, Biomass Coordinator, Ernst Conservation Seeds
David Dungate, President, Bioenergy Project Partners

“Our Board of Directors represents the myriad of stakeholders in the biomass thermal industry and will help lead BTEC in a comprehensive effort to improve the biomass thermal market,” Wilson continued. “I am happy to welcome our new and reelected members to the 2014 Board of Directors, and I look forward to building on our accomplishments in the coming year.”
