Vecoplan opens technology development center

The opening of the new VECOPLAN AG Technologiezentrum this weekend was a great success. Extended possibilities for test set-ups and analysis met great interest of experts, the 350 invited international clients and guests of honour including politicians and industrial leaders. The representatives of the recycling industry were impressed by the variety of technologies centred in the redesigned and enlarged hall. VECOPLAN can cover the entire value chain of complex processes in-house thus accelerating development time and allowing for efficient test times.

“VECOPLAN now possesses the world’s largest and most advanced development centre in the field of environmental technolog, , said Werner Berens, CEO of VECOPLAN AG

“VECOPLAN has made significant progress in terms of process engineering. Material classification, additional sorting methods and new washing technology raises the bar in the market“.

Washing method VECOPLAN HydroDyn

As a world first VECOPLAN presented the innovative washing method VECOPLAN HydroDyn. This method allows processing of even heavily soiled plastics and thereby set new standards. It offers the high-grade cleaning of e.g. film with labels, agricultural film, stretch film as well as hard plastics from various materials. Thus, the material gets back into the material cycle as high-quality recyclate.

The Minister of Economic Affairs of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, Eveline Lemke:

„With its new Technologiezentrum the company proves that it is one of the most innovative companies in this industry: Based on the tests in the Technologiezentrum VECOPLAN develops individual machinery for their clients. Consequently every company receives a customised plant in accordance with its requirements.”

Green Technology Network

In the future the Ministry of Economy is going to support companies like Vecoplan even more by the establishment of a Green
Technology Network in spring of 2015. The Green Technology Network will link the numerous strong green technology companies existing in Rhineland-Palatinate among themselves and with regional, national and international economic and scientific players.
